Doctor/Nurse Practitioner who comes to facility?

Each facility has a local Nurse Practitioner who can regularly and as needed visit with all of our Residents. Each person also keeps their regular doctors for more specialized care.

Are Home Health/Hospice Care available in Assisted Living?

Whatever care a person would normally use in their personal home is available in an Assisted Living Facility.

Is Physical Therapy Available in the facility?

Yes. TriVista Rehab rents an office from us in each facility and provides Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy that is billed directly to the Resident’s Insurance and/or Medicare.

Do you require a certain Pharmacy?

No. With the Freedom of Pharmacy Act we cannot require a specific pharmacy. We can, however, require that any pharmacy you use package the medications in a specific way for the protection of our Residents. We use two methods: Multi-Dose Punch cards or the Unit Dose (Candy Pack) packaging. We work closely with MS Senior Care in Tupelo to provide the bulk of our Residents with the best packaging and pharmacy services in our area.

How many hours a day do you have Aides and Nurses?

Per MSDOH Regulations we must have during the day one aide per fifteen Residents and at night one aide per twenty-five Residents. We typically have more than this on each shift and add more as the physical needs for our Residents change.

We also must have a nurse eight hours per day. We typically have a nurse from 7am to 7pm – 12 hours per day less an hour for lunch.

Is everything included or are there additional fees?

Our rates include room and board and care from our staff and nurses. Basic Cable TV, weekly housekeeping, weekly laundry and three meals a day are covered.

Our rates are all inclusive except for Phone Service and an additional charge for the sports channels on Dish Network.

Do you have a Diaper Service?

Some facilities do have a Diaper Service where they will provide the Adult Diapers needed for a Resident for a fee. Ask your Director if that is available.

Beauty/Barber Shop available?

Yes. Each facility has a licensed Beautician who maintains regular hours in a dedicated room in our facility. Residents pay them directly.

Any charges for levels of care?

None!

Do you accept Medicare and/or Medicaid?

No for Medicare – that is only accepted at a Skilled Care (Nursing Home) level.

Medicaid Waiver is a State program for lower income Residents that assists with the costs of Assisted Living and that is available at several of our facilities but not all. Ask the Director if it is available and they will help with the qualification if so needed.

Can you pay by bank draft or Credit Card?

We encourage all Residents to pay by ACH Bank Draft. We do accept payment by check or cash. At this time we do not accept Credit Cards.

We provide three home-cooked meals per day monitored by a licensed dietician.

Yes. On a weekly basis for both.

Can Family members visit? Overnight?

Yes. We do ask that everyone signs in and out so we know who is in the building at all times. We allow overnight stays but those are limited to no more than seven at a time.

Are Pets Allowed?

No. Due to the possible trip hazards that pets cause as well as potential allergies we do not allow pets to reside in Resident Rooms. They are welcome to visit when brought by family members as long as they do not have a history of biting anyone.
